Patalsu Peak Trek

Day 1: Solang Valley (8,400 ft) to Shagadugh (11,000 ft)

Distance: 3 Km | Duration: 4 Hours Trek

Begin your trek from Solang Valley and gradually ascend through beautiful forests of oak and pine. As the trail climbs higher, panoramic views of Solang Valley unfold before you. The vegetation transitions into majestic deodar forests while snow-capped Himalayan peaks appear in the distance. After a rewarding climb, arrive at Shagadugh, a picturesque alpine meadow surrounded by nature's beauty. Relax at the campsite and enjoy birdwatching opportunities, including sightings of the Himalayan Monal and Khaleej Pheasant.

Day 2: Shagadugh to Patalsu Peak (13,990 ft) and Back to Shagadugh

Distance: 8 Km | Duration: 6 Hours Trek

Start early after breakfast and trek towards the magnificent Patalsu Peak. The trail passes through dense conifer and oak forests before opening into rugged alpine terrain. As you gain altitude, the tree line disappears, revealing expansive mountain landscapes and rocky trails. Upon reaching the summit, witness stunning panoramic views of the snow-covered Dhauladhar and Great Himalayan ranges. After spending time at the peak, descend back to the Shagadugh campsite for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Shagadugh to Solang Valley

Duration: 3 Hours Trek

Enjoy breakfast amidst the mountains before beginning the descent to Solang Valley. The return trek offers one final opportunity to soak in the serene Himalayan scenery. Upon reaching Solang Valley, the trek concludes with unforgettable memories of your mountain adventure.
